Overall Purpose:
Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, theAccountantis responsible for assisting with the Company's internal and external financial reporting. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements; assisting in the calculation of earnings per share; compiling the internal financial reporting package; supporting the quarterly earnings release; supporting the annual goodwill impairment testing process; assisting with the external audit; coordinating the completion of employee benefit plan reporting; and supporting and assisting members of Corporate Accounting with internal and external reporting related ad-hoc requests.
Specific Accountabilities:
· Preparing and assisting with analysis ofQuarterly GAAP Financial Statements, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flow
· Assisting with the quarterlyCalculation of Earnings Per Share, including compiling and analyzing information used to calculate weighted average shares outstanding
· Coordinating the compilationof theInternal Consolidated Reporting Packagedistributed to executive management, including coordinating the timely receipt of reports included in the quarterly distribution
· Preparing financial schedules included in theQuarterly Earnings Release
· Supporting theAnnual Goodwill Impairment Testing Process,including consulting with Business Unit Finance personnel to ensure completeness and accuracy of testing information
·Assisting with the External Audit,including submitting requested analyses and responding to audit inquiries for areas of responsibility
· Coordinating the completion ofEmployee Benefit Plan Reporting,including preparation of the annual 11-K filing for the 401(k) Plan and supporting the external audit team
·Perform Ad-hoc Analysis and Projectsas required, including reporting for discontinued operations, segment reporting matters, and other ad-hoc projects
Qualifications
Position Requirements & Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
· Certified Public Accountant designation or CPA Candidate
· 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in public accounting or industry
Essential Skills & Knowledge:
· Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP
· Ability to work in an organized, detailed manner under tight deadlines
· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Fluent English
· Able to prepare written communications that articulate messages concisely and accurately
· Good communication skills
Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
· Hyperion and/or SAP experience
· Fortune 500 experience
· Experience at one of the Big Four public accounting firms
