Reports to Vice President, Marketing - Initiates the development and directs the execution of successful integrated marketing plans, marketing communications and public relations programs through an effective mix of media that ensures we are engaging our consumer at relevant touch points. The objective of the Senior Manager, Brand Activation is to ensure that programs are developed that support Calphalon's product initiatives, marketing objectives and deliver growth targets.


·     Transforms the executive business strategy and sales plan into a cohesive marketing plan which becomes the base for all advertising, public relations, sales promotion, packaging and merchandising support.


·     Builds and preserves the identity of the Calphalon brand across packaging, in-store merchandising, consumer touch points and the products that fall under the brand umbrella. Owner of the development and refinement of brand identity guidelines. Collaborates with brand marketing, channel marketing, creative services to ensure guideline adherence.


·     Develops an annual national media plan that utilizes the most effective media mix at the most favorable costs. Stays current with trends in advertising and media and develops value-added relationships with appropriate agencies and vendor partners.


·     Directs the design and messaging strategy for new product introductions (packaging, point-of-sale, advertising). Responsible for all content development across instore, online and media initiatives. Ensures content is relevant for appropriate medium and is activating against consumer insights.


·     Develops public relations or marketing programs with a national scope in order to expand and/or enhance national advertising and product promotions. Manages and develops all endorsement relationships to ensure Calphalon's brand and products are represented appropriately to consumers and customers.


·     Partners with agencies and internal partners to direct advertising efforts of Calphalon traditional and non-traditions. Responsible for creative brief development and activation and ensuring that initiatives deliver on original concept and marketing objectives.


·     Serves as company spokesperson to the trade and the general press regarding marketing strategy and Company corporate issues and events. Directs efforts of department in the area of product and press releases and in product placement.


·     Responsible for developing a budget to support integrated marketing plan.


·     Leads the strategy development and execution of Bridal Registry and key purchase triggers in the category. Ensures bridal programs support Calphalon's objectives across all retail accounts and
·     direct to consumer marketing initiatives with the objective of growing overall bridal registry sales.


·     Responsible for working as a cross functional team member with Channel Marketing, Brand Marketing, Ecommerce and Digital Marketing, Retail Marketing and Sales.


·     Develops employees within the brand activation department to ensure that they are being challenged, utilized to the maximum, developed as a human resource and have a healthy and rewarding atmosphere to work in.




Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a business/marketing communication area and a MBA or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of eight years experience in a managerial position in the area of marketing and sales promotions.
Must be computer literate with different types of software used in the advertising area.
Knowledge of working with an advertising agency or how an advertising agency operates is beneficial to the position.
