JOB DESCRIPTION


The primary role of this job is to serve as the interface for customer and consumer service with the Décor GBU - a division of Newell Rubbermaid. Décor is made up of three brands, Levolor &amp; Kirsch for window treatments and Amerock for cabinet hardware.


Décor Customer Service Specialists interact and service store associates, department managers, store managers and decorators of major retailers as well as independent business owners. Customer Service is responsible for building and improving relationships with these retailers, business owners, and end consumers.


Responsibilities of a CS Specialists could include but is not limited to:
·     Accurately processing customer and consumer orders received by phone, email, or fax
·     Providing updates to the customer and/or consumer on status of orders and shipping information
·     Fielding various product questions from customers and consumers
·     Resolving warranty concerns which may mean that a new product needs to be shipped, or parts sent; as well as, understanding and adhering to specific warranties depending on when the product was purchased
·     Trouble shooting calls from customers and consumers. This requires active listening, empathy, and the ability to apply training to resolve issues.
·     Specialists are also involved in product returns, repairs, and refunds to the retail customer and consumer.
·     Responsible for logging information from the calls in an on-line tool
·     Being the customer and consumer advocate


Candidate should be able to appropriately handle stress; as well as be a calming influence in difficult situations with customers and consumers.
Ability to be cool under pressure and think well on their feet.

The Inside Product Support Engineer will provide support and service for Rubbermaid Medical Solutions' new wall arm product category. In this role, Site Commander Representatives will be a mobile ambassador for Newell Rubbermaid products. This will require 100% travel over a vast majority of the country from market to market growing sales as well as our key power brands such as Lenox and Irwin. Through the use of a hands-on approach, this person will effectively demonstrate Newell Rubbermaid products to store personnel as well as end users and local Newell Rubbermaid Sales Representatives. Site Commander Representatives also participate in end-user programs such as trade shows, NASCAR events, store openings and in-store events, and contractor appreciation events.


This position also requires that one seek, analyze and relay a variety of information about and from customers/prospects regarding sales potential of a line or specific items, consumer reaction to those items, price, margins, terms of sale, etc. to enhance competitive position. Site Commander Representatives also develop relationships with all store personnel to maximize sales as well as assess the needs of retailers and develop strategy to meet those needs for each customer within legal requirements, accepted sales practice and company policy. These Representatives will also assist local Sales Representatives with sales and service of divisional products to retail accounts.


Candidates must be comfortable using power tools and being around power tools on a daily basis. In addition, must be able and willing to drive a large jobsite truck that will require a class B commercial driver's license every day for a period of one year.
