The Successful Candidate will:

"Sell", driving growth, market share penetration, enhanced profitability within the assigned sales territory, and developing superior customer relationships with Key Accounts. The SSR is responsible for coordinating all of the functions, processes, and resources of the division to ensure that the "delight factor" is achieved with the Key Accounts within the territory. This entails developing superior working relationships and managing with "expert" corporate agility with individuals and groups within the division, the Key Accounts within the territory, and often times other individuals and groups within the Newell-Rubbermaid network, to ensure that superior performance is delivered for the Key Accounts within the territory. The Senior Sales Representative (SSR) is also responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive strategic plan to drive sales and profitability for the division within the territory, to achieve the assigned sales and profitability targets, and to secure placement and sales of all new products. Additional responsibilities will include a field marketing role in which the SSR will provide field analysis on key trends, competitive activity, and general marketplace activity. The SSR will also handle crisis management and resolution. The SSR will take full responsibility for overcoming the dynamic territory and account challenges which confront salespeople in order to achieve the assigned sales and profitability targets.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
The Operational Excellence Engineer will act as the plant authority on project implementation utilizing the Six Sigma DMAIC model. A strong background in Lean principles is also required. The principle position responsibility is to act as advisor to all departments and to participate in cross-functional teams to support effective use of manpower and materials to achieve the lowest overall cost. This is a significant leadership role in the implementation of Operational Excellence (OPEX) at the plant level including project leadership, teaching and coaching associates as well as management. A Change Agent responsible for leading the plant into a data drive, team oriented culture that embraces continuous improvement within a lean six sigma environment and ensures full OPEX implementation in all plant functions.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· The position has primary responsibility to assist in the development and implementation of the plant's OPEX initiative with a specific emphasis on successful implementation of all plant productivity projects.
· Ensures ongoing education of all employees at this location in OPEX initiatives such as 5S, SMED, TPM,  Value Stream Mapping, Kanban and Value Analysis.  Promotes a Continuous Learning environment.
· Leads multiple team Kaizen/ 5S events.
· Mentor productivity project leaders in measuring performance against customer requirements and executing improvement projects for process improvement using Six Sigma methodology, analysis of data, preparing reports and implementing process mapping.
· Responsible for local Lean Six Sigma Green Belt level training and certification.
· Makes implementation and results a top priority and regularly updates the plant's implementation plan.
· Empowers every employee in the plant through positive reinforcement of team oriented continuous improvement.
· Communicates the status of all OPEX efforts to both the plant management and other OPEX Engineers throughout the division. Provides documentation of results and benefits achieved to the plant and division staff.
· Shares "best practice" methods and ideas across plants/divisions.
· Position is responsible for working with all operating disciplines by using value stream management to develop a master plan of meeting the goals of OPEX.
· Supplies opportunity solutions to local management and peer workers. Requires a hands-on approach driven by results.
· Will be expected to deliver an annual productivity target that equals 5% of plant spend.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Technical BS Degree required.
· Minimum of 1-3 years plant/ operations experience.
· Six Sigma trained.
· Proven track record of successfully leading six sigma projects within a manufacturing environment.
· Working knowledge of six sigma tools and methodology, strong quantitative, analytical and process redesign skills, along with the excellent project management skills are required.
· Lean manufacturing experience with ability to lead SMED, Kaizen, 5S and TPM events/projects.
· Good understanding of financial measurements and goals in the Lean/ Flow throughput world.
· Strong facilitation of encouragement, motivation and inspirational skills.
· Excellent communication skills to lead and support empowered employees in a team environment.
· Good presentation skills to effectively share the success and ideas.
· Willing to come in on night shifts (when needed) to lead/facilitate Kaizen events.
· MS Office software skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, JMP.

Monitor inventory levels to ensure the proper "turn" rate is obtained while maintaining service level.
Monitor, report, and adjust departmental measurements as needed to hit goals
Supervise and lead hourly associates
Maintain MSDS program to Seal requirements

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Qualifications
