GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
Manages the activities of the manufacturing associate relations function, providing human resource services to manufacturing and distribution salaried and hourly personnel. Supports the manufacturing/distribution organization in the areas of human resource issues, hourly workforce recruitment, associate evaluation and development. Manages areas of responsibility within approved operational budget.


DUTIES
* Recommends and implements policies and procedures and provides human resource counseling and assistance to managers and associates on policies and procedures; prepares and maintains hourly associates' handbook; consults with legal counsel as appropriate
* Manages recruitment effort for hourly workforce; including new employee orientations
* Oversees and annually reviews hourly compensation program
* Establishes and monitors department records and reports; participates in administrative staff meetings
* Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals; recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed

Utilizes a collaborative approach and functions as an internal consultant in supporting management in the areas of job responsibilities. Achieves results by communicating with and securing cooperation at all levels. Possesses a high level of interpersonal skill, solid verbal and written communication skill, and a service attitude. A sense of urgency about business needs is necessary. Effectively implement long-term plans while dealing with rapidly changing short-term priorities.




Qualifications
* Four-year degree in Human Resources or related function
* 3 years minimum HR management experience
* Previous Union experience
* Experience building relationships with an hourly workforce in a manufacturing/distribution environment
* Team/collaborative mentality capable of dealing with multiple and ever-changing priorities.
* Strong influencing skills coupled with superior integrity, ethics and values
* Analytical mindset.
