This position reports to the Senior Finance Manager of Rubbermaid Consumer Products, Newell Industries Canada. Responsibilities include providing the support needed to deliver solid financial results and business analysis for the GBU. This role will require active involvement in the month end, budget, forecast, and strategic planning processes for Rubbermaid Consumer Products. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Corporate policy, aligning processes across GBUs and implementing BP&A process improvements.
Duties include:
* Month end closing journal entries
* G/L account reconciliations
* Prepare customer and product line P&L's
* Manage budgeting & forecasting of departmental expenses
* Support GBU with purchase order and OAR investment requests
* P&L and Balance Sheet budgeting and forecasting
* Review product profitability & category profitability with management
* Active role in monthly "Billing meeting" sales reviews
* Responsible for compiling monthly reporting
* Ad hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications
* University Degree
* 7+ years experience in Accounting/Finance field
* Accounting designation, CA, CMA, CGA
* Solid Business acumen
* Ability to interact at all levels of the organization
* Superior teamwork & communication skills
* Proven self-starter
* Sound judgment and problem solving skills
* Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
* SAP experience a plus
* Hyperion experience a plus
